What is a therian and otherkin?

These are the most common types of therians. What is a therian? Therian is a person who believe our know to have a soul of an animal. What is a difference between a therian and an otherkin, there is nothing different between them two. The only difference between a therian and an otherkin is that a therian has a soul of an existing animal or proved that had existed like a mammoth or dinosaur. Otherkin is a mythical animal like a dragon or mermaid. If you know your therian or otherkin type you probably had some shifts. What is a shift? It is what almost all therians or otherkins have or had. There are many shifts, but we dont have the physical shift, that's why people think we're crazy. :p

1.Mental shift is a shift when you take on the mentality of the theriotype. The human body stays physically unchanged. This shift can be very mild to very strong and any level in-between. During mild shifts, part of the human mentality is maintained. A mental shift can sometimes happen unintentionally, or the Therian can sometimes cause it voluntarily. This is the most common shift.

2.Dream Shift occurs when a Therian has a dream in which they are their theriotype. This is not a physical shift. Some therians have them every night, while others may use techniques, such as Lucid Dreaming or Meditation to induce them.

3.Cameo shift is when a Therianthrope experiences a shift related to an animal that is not a known theriotype. This could be a mental or phantom shift, possibly other types of shifts as well.

4.Phantom shift occurs when a Therian experiences phantom limbs or a full phantom body of the theriotype, or it could be a cameo shift.

5.Astral Shift occurs most often during sleep or when a Therian enters a spiritual trance, travels out of body to the astral plane (spirit world), and shifts his/her astral body to the ‘form’ of a non-human animal.
